About Us

OUR STORY

Stan Rogers, President of Legacy Pacific Group, was
born in 1948 in Armstrong BC, the youngest of three children. In
1951, the Rogers family purchased a flourmill and its related activity
which developed into A.J. Rogers Wholesome Foods. In 1971, fresh out of
University, Stan joined the family business as President. Under Stan’s
direction and leadership, sales grew from $40,000 per year in 1971 to $15
million per year in 1989. It was then in 1989 that Stan sold Rogers
Foods to Nisshin Flour Milling of Japan.

the real estate development business. Their first project, Cedar Springs Country
Estates was a 33 acre site with 159 executive town homes. Cedar Springs
won 4 major Georgie Awards, including Environmental Awareness, Best
Interior Decor, and Best Multi Family Development. They also developed Paradise Place a single
family community. Together these two projects exceeded

Legacy Pacific 1996 |
In 1995, a vegetable processing plant located
on South Sumas Road in Chilliwack became available for sale due to
Pillsbury/Fraser Valley Foods closing down. These buildings comprised of
over 160,000 sq. ft. of buildings and approximately 50 acres of vacant
farm land. Stan
Rogers saw a unique opportunity and developed a vision to renovate the
buildings for "Large Box" industrial clients. This vision developed into
Legacy Pacific Land Corporation. This was a very new concept for
Chilliwack as no large industrial space was available in the area. There
was such a high demand for industrial space, that within four months of
purchasing the South Sumas processing plant in 1996 over half of the
available 160,000 sq. ft. of space had been leased. Thus began Legacy
Pacific Industrial Park.
Because of the demand
for industrial space, in 1997, Legacy Pacific Land Corporation developed
an additional 7,000 sq. ft. of useable space. By 1998, we had fully
leased over 170,000 sq. ft. of big box industrial space in Chilliwack.
In 1999, a warehouse was constructed which added an additional 51,000
sq. ft. of available space, and in 2003 we completed the construction
and leasing of an additional 22,000 sq. ft. building.

Rosedale Industrial Park |
2003 brought two more development
opportunities for Legacy Pacific. On January 6, we purchased the Chilliwack
Central Industrial Park, an 89,000 sq. ft. beverage manufacturing plant
in Chilliwack. The building was renovated and we aggressively courted
new tenants. We made improvements by building additional office space
and doubling the number of dock loading doors. Then on January 13,
2003 we purchased a 43,000 sq. ft. facility out of receivership and
created Rosedale Industrial Park. In 2005 We sold the Rosedale Industrial Park to Taplow
Feeds on a lease to
purchase basis.
In the fall of 2005, construction
began on a 286,000 sq. ft. business park adjacent to our South
Sumas facilities. Utilizing tilt-up construction two new
industrial/commercial buildings were built. Nestle Waters moved a major
distribution warehouse here with over 223,000 sq. ft. shortly after
building completion. The Legacy Pacific Business Park is now over 95%
leased.

Progress Way Industrial Park |
Located off of Lickman Road, we are
in the process of developing Progress Way Industrial Park by putting
together a land assembly of 80+ acres. We are subdividing and
entertaining offers for the sale of lots ranging in size from 1 to 35
acres. We are also offering build to suit options for sale or lease. We
are enjoying a great relationship with some local investors who are
helping to make this project a success.
In 2006, after years of meetings
and discussions with international individuals & businesses,
we incorporated Superior Freeze Dry Corporation.
We, at Legacy Pacific,
are proud business partners developing what will soon be Canada’s
largest freeze dry food facility. This facility will be located and
included in the Legacy Pacific Industrial Park.
Superior Freeze Dry is focused on
offering premium freeze dry products catering to international markets.
